ROSEN Orwellian Coat in Heavyweight Xiangyun Silk-Cotton Sz 3-4
The Orwellian sits at a crossroad between traditional anonymity and modern minimalism. Inspired by the oversized trench coats of the 80s, the Orwellian borrowed their silhouettes and stripped all superfluous details, leaving behind a cocoon-like outerwear that can be worn for all occasions.
This Orwellian iteration is made in a rare blend of heavyweight silk cotton that has undergone the labour-intensive yam- and mud-dyeing process, which is typically only used on silks. The combination of this dyeing process and the fabric blend as well as its weight has resulted in an exceptional texture and colour that resembles leather. Its internal construction is elevated with details that are as refined as on the outside. Its lining and binding tapes are also made of mud-dyed Xiangyun silks to complement the beautiful outer fabric.
Due to the extremely limited production quantity, this fabric can no longer be purchased, hence making this Orwellian a one-of-a-kind piece.
