The Nyima Hakama is a pair of multi-layered trousers inspired by the traditional Japanese martial arts garment. It is constructed with plenty of room for movement and multiple layers of fabric for a dramatic flair.

This version of the Nyima is made of two different types of heavyweight Xiangyun silk, over medium-weight silk goergette fabric. These Xiangyun silks have undergone a natural dyeing process from yam and mud to give it its signature bronze-like black. Its coarse appearance is a result of the Tussah silk fibers, widely known as ethical silk. The overall result is a heavy and robust silk Nyima hakama that subtly alters its appearance depending on the light condition.
